MBIE’s Covid-19 Response Team have advised us that we are able to continue operating our online business. Our parent company, Symet, is part of the supply chain for essential businesses, but we are also able to supply non-essential customers.
As we are owner-operated, we can run our online business while being self isolated. We are taking lots of extra steps to ensure we are handling your orders as hygienically as possible, including thorough hand washing, wearing gloves and wearing face masks. We’re also making sure our fulfilment space is thoroughly cleaned every day. At any sign of illness by our owners, our online store will cease operating and customers will be advised. Our owners are ordering all groceries and other necessities online, so will have no contact with anyone else during the lockdown.
Our couriers are still delivering packages and have taken on extra measures that meet advice given by government and health authorities, such as use of social distancing, gloves, sanitisers and other hygiene precautions. This means your orders will get to you as safely as possible. There may be delays in delivery as our courier partners deal with the inevitable disruption to their services. Please keep your courier safe by keeping your distance when they drop off your mail.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has stated that there are no confirmed cases of the virus coming from handled packages. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has stated that the risk of catching the virus from a package that has been moved, traveled, and exposed to different conditions and temperature is very low.
